The BID Series mounts directly to the ceiling surface with a compact base plate and a cylindrical housing that extends downward. No cut-out, no cavity depth requirement, no structural compromise. The 90° rotational joint at the base lets you aim the light precisely where you need it — artwork, product displays, architectural details — without being locked into a fixed downward beam like traditional surface mounted adjustable downlight alternatives. This adjustable surface mount downlight design eliminates the biggest barrier to directional lighting: ceiling modification.

90° Rotational Adjustment

No Ceiling Cut-Out Required

Die-Cast Aluminium Housing

Four Rod Length Options

H235mm, H385mm, H585mm, and H885mm — covering ceiling heights from standard residential (2.4m) to commercial lobbies (4m+). The rod is integrated into the housing, so there’s no separate pendant assembly to source or match.
Lens & Reflector Optics

Two optic families: Lens (15°/24°/36°) for precise beam control with sharp cutoff, and Reflector (15°/24°/38° or 15°/24°/38°/60°) for slightly softer edges with higher efficiency. Choose based on whether you need pinpoint accent or broader wash lighting.
Multi CCT Selection (3000K–6000K)

Available in 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6000K. For an adjustable surface mount downlight used in mixed-use spaces, the ability to select warm white for hospitality zones and neutral white for work areas — all from the same product family — simplifies procurement.
7W to 25W Power Range

Which rod length for standard ceilings?

For 2.4m–2.8m ceilings (standard residential and hotel rooms),H235mm is the most popular choice. For 2.8m–3.2m (restaurants, galleries), go with H385mm. For anything above 3.2m, use H585mm or H885mm to bring the light source closer to the target plane.
Lens vs Reflector — which optic to choose?

Lens optics produce a sharper beam with more defined cutoff — ideal for accent lighting on artwork, products, or architectural details. Reflector optics deliver slightly softer edges with higher optical efficiency — better for general wash and ambient lighting. If you need both effects in the same space, specify Lens for accent zones and Reflector for ambient zones.
Can I mix CCT in the same room?

Yes — order different CCT variants of the same model and install them side by side. This is common in retail where warm white (3000K) highlights product displays and neutral white (4000K) illuminates walkways. What’s the max ceiling height for these?

The H885mm model (Z030121D-7) is designed for ceilings up to approximately 4.5m. Beyond that height, the beam spread becomes too wide for effective accent lighting at 7W. For very high ceilings (5m+), consider our GEF Series retractable spotlight with higher wattage options.
