A retractable spotlight — also called a telescopic spotlight or pull-out spotlight — is a recessed lighting fixture with an extendable body. After installation, the fixture can be pulled outward from the ceiling cavity, bringing the light source physically closer to the target surface.

Unlike standard recessed spotlights that sit at a fixed depth, a telescopic recessed spotlight gives you two additional degrees of freedom:

1. Extension — pull the body out to reduce the distance between the light source and the target

2. Extension— tilt up to 90° and rotate 350° to point the beam precisely where you need it
